Moving to Jax FL, Marina Info Wanted

Hi,
I'm relocating from San Diego to the Jax area after the 2006 hurricane season. I have a 48 foot steel cutter, with a 67' mast clearance. Anybody in the Jax area have any tips on marinas? I would be interested in taking the boat up (down?) the St. Johns River past the 295 Buckman Bridge, but the bridge clearance is posted some places as 65', and in other places as 68'. Anybody have detailed info on this? Can you sneak under at low tide, if you need a few extra feet of mast clearance?

How is the lower St. Johns generally, are the currents a big hassle? I've lived aboard on other rivers with fairly swift currents (the Cooper River in Charleston SC) so I have some experience with this.

Anyway, if there are any Jacksonville area sailors with some input on marinas and bridge restrictions, please let me know.
