We will need to replace our 2 65 gallon tanks and would like to know if anyone has done this and if their are any suggestions for a place neare Ft Lauderdale to fabricate new ones? Thanks Barbara
If your tanks are aluminum, WEST SYSTEM epoxy sells a kit, complete with FG, etching solution, and epoxy. I found it to be an easy and inexpensive fix.

My Irwin had a steel tank. I found a place that reconditioned steel fuel tanks and guarenteed them for life. they were able to reconstruct sections that were rotted away. That is the route I went and used the boat over 10 years with no problem from the tank.
This was not a marine business, but did a lot of work with old tractors, cars, etc.
Just found this post and was wondering if you knew of the name of the outfit that did the job on the reconditioning of the fuel tanks.
