Bristol Club

I am an owner of a 1979 Bristol 35.5'' sloop rig. And for the past 1.5 years have been slowly refurbishing my Miss Michelle. There are several upgrades that I want to tackle but do not know which way to go. If such a group exists I would appreciate a reply at low41@yaoo.com.

Thank you.

Re: Bristol Club

I currently have a 1968 Bristol/Sailstar 26' fin keel, spade rudder, masthead sloop. Great Ol'Boat, handles like "jack be nimble", doesn't burn any fuel, cause I deep 6'd the ol engine, dont need one, it sails in an out of marinas, jus fine, some oar, boathook and lines handle any tight maneuvering.

Re: Bristol Club

Garry, I don't know about Bristols, but South Padre was my childhood stomping ground, with many great memories.

Re: Bristol Club

Gary. I am looking for the same thing as you. I have a 1979 Bristol 35.5 center board on the Chesapeake. The boat was on hard for 3-5 years prior to purchase and is a continuous project. Great sailing boat but a lot of work over the last 4 years and still going. I was on the bay in 25-30 knott winds last month and she handled great. Now if it could only stop leaking when it rains. Andy

Re: Bristol Club

Hi Garry, this is the only info I have....
Yahoo! Groups

and this group in no longer active, but a nice list of owners. There looks like there is a club in TX with a bunch of 19' boats..."Corinthian Sailing Club, TX" Bristol Owners' Association Home Page

If you have a Gray Marine engine, I can help you with parts.
