Just serves to illustrate how insidious Global Warming can be, eh?

Re: Boat electric bill - seems winter this year was colder than last year!

No more global warming - it got renamed climate disruption afew days ago, seeing as the effects are not universally warmer weather. Apparently the much-decreased arctic ice cover changed winter airflows to make the west coast warmer than usual and the east coast frigging freezing. A local school here was doing some winter experiment for the kids comparing Maryland winter temps to a town in interior Alaska and the experiment didn't really work out as planned when Alaska was warmer!

* years ago when I got a BMW station wagon it came with 4 snow tires on steel rims. I promptly sold them since we never get enough snow on the island to need them

I saw 9 degrees in the morning going to work and the boat got down as cold as 38 degrees with the heat going on the 500 watt setting.
