Saroca 16 ft

I recently acquired a 1985 Saroca 16 ft. the hull seems to be in a pretty good condition and it has the sports sail package 65 sq ft. but the inner plastic liner is cracked in several places.

Can I just remove the plastic liner? I'm not sure if it has any structural advantage, although I seriously doubt it.

I'm also not sure if the hull is made of FG or ABS. According to the manufacturer website, they has several runs of that boat over the years and they used a variety of materials.

If anyone familiar with this boat and can give me some pointers, it would be great.
