nesting/sailing dingy, plans

I have a 12' sailing/rowing dingy and have been looking for some plans to build a nesting/sailing dingy. The plans are in a library book and I don't know the name of the book? Help

I built a scaled down version of the Chameleon nesting dinghy as described on my website at:

http://yachtvalhalla.net/gecko/gecko.html

It's Danny Greene's design and contact information is at that page.

I've also seen plans advertised such as at this link:

http://www.bateau.com/products.php?cat=9

Hope this helps. Terry

The Woodenboat site http://www.woodenboat-ubb.com/vbulletin/upload/ would be a good place to find out about different nesting dinghy designs. The magazine has had articles on building several, if I recall correctly. The people on the forum there offer much good advice, and can gauge things to your skill level as well as the size you're seeking.

The book is probably "The Nature of Boats", by Dave Gerr

Dave Gerr, a marine architect and columnist, wrote a pretty popular
book "The Nature of Boats" that's a compendium of columns.
It describes a "nesting dinghy", and gives plans. There's
a lot of plans on the net. B&B Yachts has a -family- of nesting
dinghy plans, and the 10' one is a type-raceable dinghy,
as well as constructible. It has finer lines than Gerr's.
There's also a preconstructed fiberglass dinghy available on
the west coast of the U.S.
