Talking Introducation

Hi folks,
I am new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I will be moving this summer to the Groton/Mystic/New London CT area and want to get involved in the sailing community in my new area. I have been out of the loop due to a major move and school for a while Im a little rusty.

I grew up on an inland lake sailing all summer, moved to Florida and joined the sailing team in college, have family friends who sail in Lake Michigan and go out with them occasionally.I would really love to crew for some folks when I get to CT and possibly find a nice place to take my dingy out.

Welcome to SailNet. I am fairly new myself but find most everything here to be very infomative.

Congratulations! You're moving to a fantastic sailing area -- well, for six or seven months of the year anyway. After 10 years on LI Sound (about 20 n.m. from Mystic), we recently relocated to Narragansett Bay, RI. But the entire region offers terrific sailing -- whatever your preferences: racing, daysailing, cruising, etc. Great seaside towns, great history, great sailing heritage, etc. You're in for wonderful times!
