Sailing from Chicago to Ireland - Live via Satellite

NORTH ATLANTIC, HERE WE ARE!

We left Pier 17 in Manhattan, New York City sunday, 28th 2006 at 2:15pm local time, on a course never before taken in a boat like this, a Galway Hooker.

From start to finish, the whole trip, from Chicago to Ireland will take between six and seven weeks.

Tonight though, is a different story, as the winds have picked up considerably, not too much in our favor and it makes for a bumpy journey, but it’s wind all the same.

Anybody heard about the progress of these guys? I was watching them for a while when they were still posting but then they just stopped. Guess they may have found the pubs at their destination. Should be on the way back soon, hope they are not in the middle of this right now.
