Fight club has little or nothing to do with sailing, per se, rather it is a place for the "kiddies" to play in the sandbox. Should you be foolish enough to take ANY of the remarks to heart, I suggest you avoid the bilge.

Cheers, Dumah,

i do not log in to the fight thread because i believe that sailnet should be for giving advice to sailors who ask for it. i believe in helping others.

i joined this forum a few years ago to hopefully gleam some knowledge, share any wisdom i might have [if any] but mostly to have a dialog with people of a common interest,i've avoided reading that thread because i would rather fight my battles up close and personal, i want my time on this forum to be enjoyable, hopefully rewarding and leave not feeling insulted, there is an atmosphere of hostility here perpetuated by a mere few individuals,i've even considered quitting at times but hell no

Having a fight club on a sailing forum is like reserving a small part of your deck for anyone to take a crap on. You may not see the act, you may ignore it, but the smell permeates the whole boat.

This makes me think I ought to look at Fight Club to see what I've been missing.

I could tell you, but where'd be the fun in that?

Seriously: You're not missing a damn thing.

Now that that's out of the way... Why is it much of this thread appears to be various people talking to themselves?

Jim
