Signing off for the summer..

The sailnet forums are great fun and a valuable resource for sailors of all ranges of experience. However it is seriously addictive!
So as proactive self-treatment I'm signing off for the summer. Unfortunately my job provides me with 7 weeks vacation that I must take in the summer.. so we're going sailing starting Friday - for 6 or 7 weeks.

Catch y'all in the fall!
Ron

That's not fair, we still have to work. Fair winds and clear skies to you on your vacation.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I'm with you, Faster. I am 3 weeks into my summer cruise from Milwaukee, WI to Olcott, NY on Lake Ontario. I check into sailnet when I come across a free wireless. At this point I am in Little Current, Ontario, Canada located in Lake Huron's North Channel. The North Channel is one of the absolute best cruising grounds anywhere in the world. I have been to Belize and the BVI and this is on that par. No coral reefs, but many great islands to explore. Navigationally it is much more challenging than any place I have been. I have just started and will be here for 3 more weeks before heading on.

Irwin,
Good to hear from you. Been wondering how your progress was going. North Channel for three weeks, sounds like a dream.
Happy Sailing to everyone.
