Booty-
Doesn't really end with a happily ever after, as I believe she is divorced...  The book is very enlightening in that even with all the mistakes that she made, her initial lack of experience and knowledge, and her inability to keep the diesel engine working, she still made it. I think it is somewhat unfair that they disqualified her from her "solo" circumnavigation, because she had a passenger, who did little if anything to help sail the boat, for a short passage of about 80nm.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
