Re: boat repair

the best fix would be to remove the chainplates and check them for corrosion. over lay pieces of 1/4" g-10 plate on to the bulkhead and glass it to the side of the cabin top and the bulkhead . then reinstall the chainplates. the g-10 should cover a larger area to cover the rot and spread out the load. new chainplates are easy to make from ss flat stock.

Re: boat repair

Remove mast & standing rigging & chainplates. (Or, remove chainplates but be real sure to rig temporary stays.)

FIX THE CABINTOP. Do some exploring and make sure there isn't more extensive deck failure to be found as well. Same for the bulkheads or whatever they were fixed into.

Once the deck has been fixed, see if you can hammer out the chainplates to the original shape and confirm they fit again. Then you take them to any decent metal shop and they should be able to make duplicates for you. Your choice of metals, which has been debating in other threads.
