Alberg 35/Bluewater

I just purchased a great Alberg 35 and I''m looking to see if there are any other owners out there of this great boat. I''ve been away from sailing for sometime but have had some bluewater adventures, (Monterey,CA to Sag Harbor,NY-through the canal. I''d like to get Compagnon offshore ready. Ideas Anyone?

Alberg 35/Bluewater

There is a review of the Alberg 35 and 37 on the Cruising World site (www.cruisingworld.com). You will have to look in the archives section. It does comment about the design of the 35 not being intended for bluewater, whereas the 37 was. That being said, I think the Alberg 35 is in the ranks of the Bristol 35 and would be considered bluewater by today''s standards, as she is quite heavy and has a long keel. I have seen comments from people who have sailed their 37''s across oceans and loved them.

Hope this is helpful.
