New Ports

have a 1972 27' Ericson and am interested in replacing the ports, possible with ones that open to get a cross breeze. I am removing them to paint and would like to replace them with new ones. Any feedback or experience in this would be appreciated.
Thank you

sailingfool will become famous soon enough
You should post what make ports, or photos. Beckson and Lewmar opening ports are widely available as are installation instructions.

Good luck.

I'd avoid NewFound Metals, as there have been some serious problems with them on other forums... YMMV

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
