Talking Speed launching from trailer

Stumbled upon this pic on local J24 fleet's site:

Happened in Texas somewhere supposedly. Appears to be something in the water down there, quick google revealed another Texan boat ramp trick.

Ooops.. That's gotta hurt. I hope no one was aboard the boat, and I really hope that they hadn't attached the rudder to the boat yet...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

In the words of Maxwell Smart Agent 86: Missed it by that much.

Maybe he was trying to get out of the water?

It sure looks like the rudder is folded up under the stern.

I don't think so. Look closely, and there appears to be a shaddow of the rudder under the rudder.

Nope... don't think so.. the shadow changes the density of the ground, but not the color. I doubt the rudder was beige in color... it would have been either black or reddish, like the antifouling on the bottom of the boat.
