Downeast Maine Trip Photos

Hi All,

We just got back from our annual cruise to Downeast Maine and I finished uploading the pictures to our online photo galleries. Feel free to have a look around. There are 8 pages of Maine Coast photographs with lots of beautiful boats, sunsets, sunrises & other sailing related stuff. Sailing combines two of my hobbies photography and sailing gotta love that... Click the link below the gallery is fairly self explanatory. Double click a thumbnail to make the picture bigger and use the next or previous button to scroll through.

Fantastic pics...

We have a place in Machias Bay on Starboard Cove and I saw the picture of Buck's Harbor and figure you sailed right by our place.

Best Wishes

I'm sure we did sail by our place...

We covered a lot of ground and explored a lot of the offshore islands... I would most likely recognize boats rather than houses though.

Thanks for sharing. My 5 year old daughter is with me today and we really enjoyed your pictures. Reminded us both of our trip to Maine a few summers ago.

Thanks for some nice memories. My wife and I spent our honeymoon on a friend's borrowed wooden 30' cutter in much of the same area, 33 years ago this week.

Your "Returning to Burnt Coat" photo is about as "Down East" as anything could be.

Great pictures. How come it always rains (or fogs) when I'm up there?

A.C.,

GREAT PICTURES! Thanks for sharing them with us. I sent the link to several friends who thought they were wonderful, too.

Had hoped to get back to Maine this year, but it wasn't to be. Next year, I hope.

Here are some pix of our 2004 trip (click twice on each one for full resolution). Can't hold a candle to yours, of course :-))
