Hughes Columbia 36 CC Sailboat

I am looking at a Hughes Columbia 36 CC and have a couple of questions that I have not been able to find the answer to. I am concerned about the hull deck seam and how it it done. Also, How are the chain plates connected to the knees. They are enclosed in a box and not visible
