We are trying to find a 41' Islander Freeport by the name of Sea-S-Pray. The last known location was at Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda, Florida. We can send you pictures of the boat when it belonged to us under the name HYDRA. Please let us know if you have seen it and where. Thank You.

If they've left the last known address, the USCG should still have a current address for them, if the boat is USCG documented.

Thanks for the link to the website. They were on there but they have moved on to Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda and left there in July to where??? Hopefully they will renew their documentation come October. In the mean time if you see that boat we would really like to know. They need to finish paying for it!!!

If they haven't finished paying for it, I would put a lien against the USCG documentation. That way it can't be sold or if it is lost, and the insurance company pays out, you will get paid before the proceeds are given to the current owners.

The new name isn't "Sea-S-Pay". The thing they are praying for is that they can get away with stealing your boat. Hope you catch them.

Thanks, we hope to catch them too. I have pictures of the boat to email if you have any suggestions on who to email them to. I'm going to send them to marinas around Florida. Any ideas?

A good skip tracer may be of assistance. An automoble one will work as well or better than any PI. Call your bank, or a big bank (like B of A) and ask for references. they use a lot of repossesors and even tho the banks are a bit dense in a corporate sense, they can be of assistance.

Keep your eye's and ears open when dealing with repossesors, they are used to dealing with some slippery characters and often have adopted a similar attitude. It would probably not be nessesary (or even advisable) to hire them to reposses the vessel for you. Just get them to skip trace for you.

Keep in mind that runners will often leave a trail of bad debts at Marinas, fuel docks, boatyards, resturants. Any bank #'s, credit card #'s references, former addresses etc. can be of help to a good skip tracer.
