Are Fake Cannons Lame?

Are fame smoke and fire shooting cannons on ones boat lame? What if you fly a pirate flag and walk around on board with an eye patch and plastic sword at the same time? Do I need a scathingly chad wrench to run around on deck pretending to not want to be catch?

Are there elements of this I'm not thinking of?

I want to get things right while cruising around and be accepted

Don't blow air up my rear, be useful and blow it at the sails!

fake cannon... do you mean replicas of a real cannon?...
there are real cannons, replicas, and signal guns shaped to look like cannon... the real cannons actually shoot a projectile, the replicas, set on a shelf and collect dust, and the signal guns have an actual a purpose, but are dangerous to attempt to fire a projectile from....

its not so much lame to have one for the purpose of making smoke and noise, as it is illegal to do so except in certain circumstances.

having one mounted on the bow of your boat and displaying a pirate flag is lame

Don,

For what it's worth, I say, get the fake cannon and fire away! Do it at sunset, and claim you are the commodore. Wear a blue blazer and go all Thurston Howell III.

Or go all Johnny Depp.

Either way, make a commitment to a particular style and stay with it man.

Re: Are Fake Cannons Lame?

Maybe I'll get one and aim it at people with little humor,or at the fake pirate ship that sails around in my home port and scares the crap of me once in a while when they shoot theirs off. Wait.................... that would make it lame!

Re: Are Fake Cannons Lame?

Why own a fake cannon if you can have a real one?

Dock
FAKE???

Don't be stupid, Don! You're American. I can get you real one with powder and shot to keep CBP at bay!
I even used one when the Florida water police wanted to check the outflow of my toilet. They got a bang for their buck

Re: Are Fake Cannons Lame?

Does one have to declare a cannon when checking it?
