Add another to my list.... The more I drink, the longer it gets (my list...nothing else).

FWIW, I just scored a bottle of 2014 Angel's Envy Cask Strength.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna drink it or flip it....

I love Flor De Cana. I spent about a month traveling around Nicaragua a number of years ago and sipped on that sweet flower almost every night. Excellent rum. It has maintain my top pick ever since.

Re: I have a new favorite

Do we need to start a Boat Spirits forum?

Interesting though. I just checked my shelf. I have a bottle of Flor de Cana 12 that I picked up last fall in another state because it was new to me. I didn't like it near as much as my beloved Zaya. It will more than likely go in the box of spirits I don't like and give away. If I don't drink it, it gets donated instead of sitting to collect dust and waste space for something else.

I'll give it another sip just in case.

Donna

I spent several months on a seismic survey boat working down the Pacific coast from Corinto to Massachapa back in the 70's. Before the earthquake and Somoza was still in charge. You weren't on the M/V Western Gulf with me by any chance, were you? We sure drank a lot of Flor de Cana.

Sorry I took so long to respond. I was traveling in Costa Rica. I was not along for that ride though I am pretty sure I would have enjoyed that if it had not been wearing diapers around that time. I would surly buy you a drink to hear some of those stories. Cheers

Re: I have a new favorite

I like "Diplomatico " From Venezuela i Think...
Kraken was my last favorite, before that, it was Sailor Jerry, but if you leave that stuff in a glass over night, it doesn't have the alcohol left in it in the morning, leading me to believe that it ain't rum !
