Question Sailnet not loading?

I usually come on sailnet once or twice a day, but sometimes the website doesn't load, it says that the website could not be found. this happens on both firefox and internet explorer. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, there was an explaination given in another recent thread about it.

Very Frustrating

If you're just surfing, no big deal. But you spend 20 minutes composing a reply and can't post it. I don't know how Jeff does it. Great site but this problem takes much fun out of it. Does not seem to be volume related. I'll try patience for awhile.

happens a lot...and frustrating mostly, like sailaway says, when you've written a reply and it just goes away! Like those dropped call commercials...ARGH.

It's best to write your reply in something like Notepad, then copy it over to post. That way, if it's lost, you can still repaste it, instead of rewriting it. Here's the previous thread on the subject http://www.sailnet.com/forums/genera...rash-much.html

If your post fails you can use the back button to return to the message composition page. Then use and to grab the text that you just wrote. From that point you can stuff it into a Notepad window with .

It does happen a lot. And I have spent some time creating responses that I couldn't post (although I'm sure the site will survive even without these pearls of wisdom).
