Lake George

Anybody have any advice, thoughts, experiences re sailing on Lake George NY? I sail a 27' Tartan.

A few thoughts... the northern end of the lake is nice. The southern end is all powerboaters. You'll explore the majority of it pretty quickly. It's definitely more of a powerboating lake than a sailor's lake. We tried it but then quickly moved to Lake Champlain even with it being an extra hour north. There is absolutely no comparison.
