Question Shortage of great boats?

Just read an article that basically said there will be a shortage of used sailboats in the future. Logic is that a large number of affordable sailboats were built in the last 30 years. With the price of the new sailboats, and limited suppliers, there may not be a glut of used boats 15, 20, or 30 years from now; less supply, bigger price.

As an owner of a 1974 sailboat, it makes you ponder. Interested in seeing commentary and thoughts on this compelling (my humble opinion) point.

Kind of makes you want to leave your boat to your grandson, to help pay for his college education?
