We are currently looking to buy a condo on or near a marina on the SE US coast, possibly near Charleston, SC. Anyone have any ideas of good marinas/condos???

My father had a winter place on Seabrook Island between 1979 and 1992. It''s south of Charleston (about a 20-minute drive)and situated on a peninsula formed by the ocean and the mouth of the Edisto River, which is part of the ICW. A large creek, the Bowhicket, feeds into the Edisto. Just before you get to Seabrook there used to be a marina called Bowhicket Marine Village, with condos and slips. I suspect the area has changed signifciantly since I was last there in 1992, as the Ryder Cup golf took place on Kiawah Island (immediately north of Seabrook in the (?)mid-90s and drew attention to the place. We used to daysail a Sandpiper (19 ft, cuddy cabin) out of Bowhicket.
Good luck. It''s a beautiful area.
