Sleeping at the wheel

Some people just have absolutely no "seamanship"..

This guy is sleeping at the wheel!!!!

My new born, fell asleep while having his first "feel" for the thing!!

Ah, the proud Dad and his newest crew member.

Great shot. Thanks for sharing!

About seamanship! Where's the life jacket. Does the little one swim like a fish already?

Unhappy

OOOOPS

Absolutely right. In fact, before he came on bord, I bought him a small sized one that has the "keep the head out of the water thing" and a handle, but somehow my kid was not inside it!!!

Sorry about that. Can't tell you why he wasn't wearing it,and have no excuse. If it helps and trying to redim myself we sailed 2 months with him and he allways wore it when outside.

I am ashamed....

Hi Giuletta:

You and the Dad were there and your critic was not. Don't let others impugn your judgment so easily. Most mothers handle their children with utmost care and deserve the benefit of the doubt.

It's a cute picture.

Goodnewsboy,

Thank you.

Giulietta is the name of my wife and my boat. LOL.

And yes she does handle him and my other 9 year old son (that races in optimist), very carefully. We are very lucky that God gaves these 2 boys, me in particular because one will be my helmsman, the other will be the bowman!!!

By the way, after checking with my wife, she remembers that, that particular day was too hot and the baby was crying because the life jacket made him unconfortable. So we took it off. She felt it was ok, because we were doing only 5kts, the sea was calm and there were 3 adults with us.

I let him the wheel and after 1 or 2 minutes, he just fell asleep!!

That shows how confortable my boat is!!!!LOL

One more thing, I am now wondering if people now will stop being nice to me, because I am a guy!!!

Are we loosing it????

Yeahhh... that happens to me all the time....I do talk to the boat, too!!!

And my wife, sometimes, says she gets more feedback from the boat than from me. But she lies a lot!!!!!!!
