Sorry All...

Sorry all for losing my temper with Waverider and taking it out on the forum. In retrospect, I probably should have just sent him a PM instead of embarrasing him on a public forum. It takes a whole lot to get under my skin, but he did it quite well. I guess with over 100,000 members, 1:100,000 isn't that bad.

It's advent, forgive and forget they said Sunday. Good words to live by. I just get sooo frustrated when there are people that are so close minded and intent on being ugly. The one thing I have found about cruising is just the opposite of that. You know, all boats sail the same - no matter what country you are from... and I have many good Canadian friends.

Best to all, and thanks for the kind words EBS and PBeezer.

- Brian

No problem CD. Everybody has an off day now and then. At least you were a big enough person to apologize. Just don't desert us entirely, your family may get suspicous if you don't ignore them once in awhile .

Stand up post CD. I missed whatever happened over the weekend, but for you to post this shows true class. Kudos.

Brian,
I stayed out of the banter generated by Waverider's caustic posts, sensing that because his intent was to create chaos through personal & political attacks against all Americans, I may have responded similarly as you. I just do not need that kind of stress in my life.

Although you feel your apology is warranted, in my opinuion your response to his attacks was appropriate, from a family man proud of the heritage in which all American citizens share. Do not beat yourself over it, since he was the one banned from SailNet and his were the posts which were deleted - not yours.

I logged in last evening (Sunday 12/03) and also missed what transpired. I do have one question: is he really banned? Last evening, I went to his user CP and noted the "banned" under his name, but he was logged on when I did this, and I notice his last activity was six hours ago, which would have been around 11:30am EST on 12/04. What does the ban cover?

I think "banned" means he cannot contribute - thats an ironic explanation. He cannot post to the site.
