Looks like I got published

Hey all!

I just got a letter in from Latt & Att... they are publishing one of my Chronicles of Cruising!! My wife sent it in (Rather sneakily, I might add), and we got a letter in the mail today. How about that, huh?

Look for it up and coming.

I also have many more that I will submit (that you have not read, incidentally). Just knew that if I did, what very little respect I have on this board would drop to zero!!

HAHA! Let me also thank many of you that dropped me a PM and told me to go for it.

- CD

Hey CD...that's great. Will keep a lookout. Is it in the "Stupid Stuff I've Done on Boats" section?

Congrats, as a writer and editor I know the highs and lows of publishing. It is a nice feeling to get something in print. I'll look for the article. Let us know when they assign it to an issue...if they tell you.

Congratulations! Is this your first time? I remember how excited I was when one of my pics was published as a header to an article, I ran out and bought every copy of the mag that I could and sent them to all my friends and relatives.

Hey all. Yep, first time... but it was the first time I have ever sent anything in. Well, hold that, I am being corrected - the wife sent it in. Crap. I will never live that one down.

The good news is that it is going in the magazine. The bad news is that it is being printed on the new perforated paper in the back. All the ink from the words of my story make it unsightly, but it disolves quickly.

Hey - no matter. I will take what I get!!

I don't know when it comes out yet. Will keep you posted.

- CD

The good news is that once you sue your wife for stealing your work & submitting it, you'll be rich enough to buy a new boat and go cruising!
