Looking for Chris Craft Sailboat Owners

I know, nobody realizes that Chris Craft built sailboats. I have had a 1967 Chris Craft Apache 37 for 20 years and have enjoyed it thoroughly. A group of us are trying to find owners and re-activate the owner's group. If you know of anyone who is interested in these great boats, you can point to our new web site at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chriscraftsail/. By the way, my old boat took 2nd place in this year's 70 mile overnight Governor's Cup out of Annapolis...beaing two naval academy boats that came in 3d and 4th.

Thanks

Moe

I was docked for a couple of years next to a guy with a 1965 33 foot ChrisCraft. This boat was unbelievable: it had a center cockpit and an aft cabin that was more like a doghouse...still, a nice enough boat if heavy as hell. Good workmanship, if obviously old-fashioned.

To give you an idea, my '70s cruiser racer was seven inches longer and 10,000 lbs. lighter! I put out a lot of fenders when he was learning to dock.
