The best place to look for used boats, IMHO, is www.yachtworld.com - no affiliation with me. For second hand cruising books I usually turn to eBay.

The publication, Soundings, has an extensive used boat section each month.

Also, check Cruising World and Lats & Atts. These can be found in any marine store.

Lots and lots of brokers in Florida. Depends on what kind of boat you're looking for.

Amazon.com has used books.

Look for Latitude 38 on the west coast, and SpinSheet if you find your way to Chesapeake country. Both are free and are full of ads for used boats.

You can start here:
www.yachtworld.com and here:

As to used crusing guides I am at a loss but the ssca puts out a CD of about 10 years of cruising advice from real cruisers for the entire world. A marvelous resource for $25 bucks.

Oops-- sorry, missed the part about looking for your boat in Florida. I think a freebie sailing rag down there is called Southwinds or something like that. Look at a marina for stacks of freebie magazines and papers. Every section of the country has them these days.

For used books, check these sites: http://www.longpassages.org/books.htm
