St. Thomas here I go...

OK,

Received confirmation today.

I will be in St. Thomas USVI, (working), from the 28th January till the 18th February.
The family will come too, as they love the calm and warm seas. No sailing, unfortunately.

Any of you people there at that time?? If you do let me know. I'm not a very sociable guy, but will be OK to meet you in person.

Thanks

We're there but not there.... Flying to Martinique Jan 27, sailing to Grenada over a 2 week period, and flying home Feb10. After the goofball winter we're having here on the West coast, you better believe we're looking forward to this break.

Do I dare say we're on a Bene 36.7 for this trip???

Would have convinced me Giu, if not for your 615 posts within the past 2-3 months.

We won't be taking any Caribbean vacations this winter - unfortunately, but wish you and your family all the best during your "working" holiday.

Unlike other addictions, I concider this to be a healthy addiction. Don't think you can get yourself killed posting on Sailnet. Than again maybe your other half might kill you because your not giving her the same ammount of attention she demands.

G, Have a safe trip. I can't believe your not going to take advantage of the situation and go for a sail.??!

I'm on the computer all day as well, where most of my architectural work is done. This place is a distraction from work - to say the least, but I'm in serious withdrawal from the boat.

The addiction will be eased somewhat when we make our annual summer move-aboard in a few months . . . actually perhaps as soon as May.

Zanshin is on a distinguished road
Giulietta, I just got back from a month of sailing the BVI as well as around St. John and to St. Maarten and points beyond. The weather was great and I wore shoes and long pants for the first time in a month on my flight back and also slept on a bed that wasn't moving around slightly for the first time last night. You'll like it there and hopefully you will have a chance to sail a bit as well. I hope to be back there in mid February, so perhaps we can hook up.

Have fun... now if we could just cut the undersea cable to USVI... so they're off-line for that month..

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I guess I should now say St. Thomas here I am....

Check what was moored in front of my Hotel room.....

I have no idea what they are, and the cell phone shots don't help...both have US flags.

Our camera is....well...lost...till tomorrow...
