Guys,

I have been seeing a lot of people asking what is capsize ratio, where to get tech info on a Boat, what is my hull speed, etc.

Please use this site here, and you may find your boat there. It calculates YOUR BOAT for you.

If your boat isn't here, you can send the owner of the site your boat charcteristics, and he will insert it there (he has been sick so don't expect him to do it now, ok??).

You can comapre YOUR boat with YOUR NEIGHBOURS boat, and it even charts performance in that comparison.

Neat site...but I didn't see any entries for a 42' sailing barge.

Its there, but the hull lenght is wrong, I entered it 2 years ago, when Giulietta was going to be "shorter". She is under DC1200.

I will get it corrected once he gets back.

Compare her with any thing!!! go on...you'll be surprized!

Here is the mod made to the mould to add 2 more feet to her, (we did it "work" the rating).

I just compared my Bene to a DC1200 and found them to be very similar!!

One of the best sites I have found for explaining yacht design is www.tedbrewer.com. Ted's narrative is teffific, not pedantic, very readable. He's the real deal, too.
