Re: The Mystery of the 5-Foot-Long Shipworm

Teredo Worm was the bane of Tall (wooden) Ships and an effort to defeat them gave rise to sheathing ship bottoms with lead and later copper sheet. These daze, with GFRP hulls, the Teredo Worm has become a non-issue. Unfortunately, however, Polyester Mites have emerged to take their place (beware that "crackling sound" through the hull at Night!!!).

Re: The Mystery of the 5-Foot-Long Shipworm

Putting tube worms and shipsworms in the same bucket shows a bit of a lack of understanding of basic biology.More false facts to sort. However a deeper fear of polyester lemnoria may be warranted

You have to blanch them before you saute them. Best with a crisp NZ sauvignon blanc. Or you just deep fry them.
