Mark

Glad you made it to the Horta. Too bad the letter A got washed overboard though. BTW Marine Traffic did say your AIS signal was picked up on Satellite but, it costs $$$ to sign up for access to that info. So I don't know where or for how long they were able to see your signal on your crossing.

Mark--

If you've lost your Keyboard "A", you can simply use/substitute the "ALT" Code. Hold down the "Alt" key and type "65" for the Upper Case "A"; or; the ALT key and "97" for the lower case "a". Somewhat of a pain in the neck but it will work.

FWIW...

Fantastic!
Beats buying a new computer!

What is "Z"? i have lost that too... Writing Azores has been a pain.

Also, wasnt/isnt there a way to change the keyboard layout to change a specific key? So i could put the A where the # is?

Thanka for your help ☺️

The Alt code for Z is 90 (uppercase); 122 (lowercase). For more see "Alt Codes". There is a way to assign codes and shortcut keys on most keyboards but I'm not well enough acquainted with the process to offer you suggestions. If you have a Windows based system the following might be helpful however: How to Reassign Keyboard Keys. Go there at your own risk, however.

Good Luck!

Re: St Martin to Azores then N Spain leaving tomorrow.

Frequently, it's a piece of debris under the key. Some keys will pick off to be cleaned and can be replaced. Others are more secure and will break, if you pull them off. Proceed at your own risk.

Mark, See if you have an "on-screen" key board. (windows) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...creen-keyboard.
