BigRed56, do you have a patch over one of your eyes, a wooden peg leg, a red bandanna around your head and enjoy raping and pillaging by any chance? Yo Ho!

Ahoy , Denr, never by chance I can assure you. No patches yet but lots of really nasty looking scars (true), I''ve got two good legs as long as this stainless chainplate in my spine stays in place. and as far as my liesure time activities you mentioned you''d have to ask the women or little boys who enjoyed my unsavory advances or my investment banker why he never asks where to money comes from . I''ve got that natural red bandana of hair on my head but I much prefer the red blood of my victims on thier decks as I pick through thier belongings looking for the manual for this stinking GPS!! Better to be RED than DEAD I say so sign articles wit me or I''ll cut you up for bait, matey. arrh.

Today''''s Tip of the day

The problem on Lake Michigan is flies. I do not think there is anything that is 100% effective against them. In my experience DEET has some effect, but it is not great. I have also had some success with Citranella (spelling?)sprays, but again only marginal. Last summer the second week in August while crossing the lake was the worst I have ever encountered, the boat filled with flies during the night. In the morning and through the day in the 90s+ and with zero wind they began biting. They damn near drove myself and crew batty - just part of the experience I guess. Later that week we crossed back at the narrows in a tad under 7.5 hrs, in the sun, and with 20 knots on the beam - the better part of the experience I''m positive.
