Ho hum another summer's day

10 knots blue skies, rising tide, limit of 9 snapper in two hours, and my 83 year old fishing mate caught a few too. Just home to the frying pan. How is winter by the way?

Boo, hiss....

I'm only comforted by the fact that I'll be in Cancun in a few days.

Just 30' of water half a mile off Waiheke in the Hauraki Gulf, just 5 minutes from where I launch. You don't even have to go that far you could row out from the ramp - the old saying "fish your feet", instead of roaring off into the deep water. Saves gas too.

Chris- I am wishing evil thoughts on you, given what the weather is like here...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Thanks for the memories. It's minus 25 degreesC here in Sudbury Ontario, very windy, not much snow. Sailing is only a thought at the moment.

Oh that's right, it's summertime over in Kiwi-land - come July, they'll be in their winter season . . . we'll be saying Ho-hum then.

Winter is doing great! We got 2 feet of snow yesterday and I was finally able to get my snowmobiles out. We leave tomorrow for two days farther north in more snow so we can put on a few hundred miles on in the beautiful wilderness. I can't wait! Thanks for asking!
