You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I am a commercial diver by trade so I have done my share of recovering things from Davy Jones' locker. but the best recover i can think of is when I was visiting my father on his 34' Irwin and he mentioned he lost a small four AAA cell divelight overboard two nights previous. I had my dive gear with me so I jumped in to have a look. He pointed to the exact spot where it went in, (dockside in about twelve feet of water), and I dropped to the bottom. After the silt cleared i saw three LED lights glowing partially buried in the sand. He got his light back and didn't even need to replace the batteries even after being submurged for almost three days.
