There is something wrong with this. If I believed it was really as stated, I'd be bidding like crazy. Salvage value alone would make this a winner!

Check out the sellers feed back. 96.5% is very poor for an ebay feedback number. Most people won't say ANYTHING bad unless they have been screwed.

Anybody thinking of bidding should do due dilligence first. Caveat emptor!

B & E Marine is the one doing the selling and they aren’t a small operation. It costs money to get a dumpster and cut up old boats so this is a good way to clean out the yard if someone bites. A lot of salvage boats are around now because of the hurricanes and you need a title to resell anything so be careful if you are interested in this. Really good deals and repairable boats tend to be sold to friends of the boatyard so junk is what’s leftover.

He only has one negative comment, and it is questionable. Paypal resolved the dispute in the seller's favor, so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. There are nuts on ebay who leave negative feedback if they don't like the color of the wrapping paper. You have to look at the feedback itself and make a judgment as to the truth of the allegations.

This certainly has the makings of an epic thread - just think how far upside down a bargain hunter can get, by scoping up 41 project boats all at one time, all for the cost of just one. I bet the unknowing could lose a house by winning this opportunity.

I don't know if I would take that many damaged boats at once if they were free! Seller would have better luck raising money by offering them up as parts, and the buyer would have 30 days to remove anything he wanted. Then the seller could use the money to have them hauled off.

There are marine store/breakers who buy up inventory from defunct store etc... and do this sort of thing. The fact that one of them has not done so, as yet, should be telling.
