You might be a boat redneck if you have nitrous oxide on the 25 hp Yamaha outboard on your dinghy. I don't but I'm looking into it.

You might be a redneck sailor if, while reading the Rules of the Road, you wonder if prolonged blast means full choke on your shot-gun or possibly some new type of firearm you need to get just for the boat.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

That might disqualify you. Now if you use a tow strap, OTH

Neises-

Check the trailer carefully...brakes, tire pressure, tongue weight, lights... etc.

If the tongue weight is too low, then the trailer will tend to fishtail at higher speeds. I had this problem last year... and it can be very, very disturbing...
