You may addicted to the sailing lifestyle if..(Boat Redneck)

I'll start the thread. You may be a boat redneck if... You have a separate stash of money to buy boat stuff your wife doesn't know about. When she asks what a particular ugrade costs, you mumble something vague.

You might be a Boat Redneck if ..... you think wearing a tshirt with your swim trunks is formal attire.

You know your a sailing redneck if your boat collection is 6 or greater.

Add em all up, dingys, small day sailors, etc....

Last year at the show I was looking at a Flying Scot (like those a lot). My wife says to the salesman "He doesn't need anymore boats he has six." The saleman's reply was, "Well if he had seven he would have one for each day of the week."

You might be a boat redneck if all you get for your birthday are gift cards to various chandleries... Which is what happened to me several years ago... the only non-gift card gift was a neat tide clock... go figure.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
