Yea I'ved lived in Charleston about 3 years, it's a great place for sailing. Basically untie the lines, motor out of the marina and you're sailing! The maritime festival this year is starting May 17, and it's going to be a good one. I was told we are expecting upwards of 16 or more tallships. I think about 5 have (officially) committed so far. It's free, if any one is near by. The Charleston to Bermuda race also starts during this time, we leave May 18th, wish me luck!
