In Search of the Lost Thread

There's a fella over on SailingAnarchy whinging about being picked on over here. Personally I find that very hard to believe. Never have I found such a personable bunch of charmers as reside at SailNet but there you go.

Thread relates to someone wanting to sail a boat down the (west ?) coast of the US . Boat was apparently in fairly poor condition, collapsed knuckles blah de blah de blah. Something about Tow Insurance in there as well, or so I believe.

Anyone remember the thread ? What was it called ? He uses MooseKnuckle on Anarchy but that name does doen appear in SN members list.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

His actual first name, or so he posts, is Ryan. Potty mouth drunk from the sound of his posts on SA. Maybe he's related to the dog lady, cause it seems he just wanted someone to agree with what he wanted to do.

Might want to post this link over at SA to show them WHO this guy really is!!
Can't wait to hear his trip adventures...did you see his posts on the condition of the boat he bought??!! He leaves on it from Conn to Maine on Saturday. At least the weather looks good.
