My guess is he stopped off for a drink or two along the way.

My guess is that he called it quits and bailed somewhere along the way. If he had made it, I am thinking that he would be on this forum, as well as the others, crowing about how easy it was...and what wankers all of us were in his previous threads.

Of course, if he didn't rent an EPIRB, he could have easily gone missing, and who would know? He could have also fallen off the boat, since I don't think he was planning on rigging it with proper jacklines, and was going to be singlehanding IIRC.

I haven't heard of any SAR activity for a missing sailboat, or seen anything to that effect in the papers yet... so I'm going with him having stopped someplace, probably in Rhode Island... and bailing.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Well I guess if he does get into any trouble and they have to go out and save his sorry arse could it be that they are Saving Ryans Privates ?

(wombat thought he was being pretty clever with that pun but for some reason I thought I'd seen that phrase before. So, google. Whoops. Someones already made the damn movie. )
