My guess is that he called it quits and bailed somewhere along the way. If he had made it, I am thinking that he would be on this forum, as well as the others, crowing about how easy it was...and what wankers all of us were in his previous threads.
Of course, if he didn't rent an EPIRB, he could have easily gone missing, and who would know? He could have also fallen off the boat, since I don't think he was planning on rigging it with proper jacklines, and was going to be singlehanding IIRC.
I haven't heard of any SAR activity for a missing sailboat, or seen anything to that effect in the papers yet... so I'm going with him having stopped someplace, probably in Rhode Island... and bailing.
