Our "friend" Ryan

Just an update...Ryan has posted another thread over at SA on his upcoming weekend trip. Highly entertaining!! He is being treated so gently over there!!
Should be more fun if the trip ever takes place....

Why does the word "Bumfuzzle" keep popping into my head whenever I read anything to do with Ryan and/or Dogsailor ?

Are you talking about Bumfuzzle the catamaran that was bought by a couple for a circumnavigation and the boat was completely unseaworthy, even though they had bought it new...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

True enough really. Hey, maybe I'm hairist !

I should be careful here, Madam Wombat reckons, in her harsher moments, that I'm a natural blonde only I dye out the roots.

Even though I shudder at some of their stuff...they did make it all the way around...Whether that is an accomplishment or an incredible string of luck I am not sure, but you have to give them an "A" for guts!
For those of you not familiar with them...try www.bumfuzzle.com and read the logs from the beginning...a great tale!

I have so many comments for that, I almost signed up to SA. Instead, let me just say, "Incredible."

quote from SA ... Plenty of people have done some really dumb things in boats and gotten away with it but you can't expect anyone, be they a boring old fart from SailNet or flash young thing from SA ...

Boring old fart? Nay, wise and kindly old fart!
