7 days can't come soon enough! These pics were taken at the end of the day going back to the marina. Out in the "slot" we had some good wind today, 15-20 knots by the look of the water. I don't get to see my brother enough.

Max was asleep on the settee. Although he denies it , "I was not sleeping!"
Tell Fred, Max sailed on the high side today, big boy! He said, "because Fred said to". Don't tell his mom, shhhh.

Really??? That is cool..see if Max can go online and tell that to Fred..he'll be happy..I miss him and his brother and Giu..the woman...

Fred capsized twice today...(25kt winds my wife said) his coach said he "was'nt there today" and that he wasn't paying attention and came last on most races...guess he needs me there....(I secretely rig his Optimist....eheheheh). So he's sad.

I can't remember what thread they were talking, do you?

Can't remember either, I will look up the thread. Max is in bed now, so tomorrow. Fred will do better when you are back. Its great that he has no fear. I told Max the other day, "do you want to be a man or a mouse?". I couldn't believe I said it. We had a conversation about growing up big and strong like your Pop, or being a little mouse that goes "memememememe".
Worked pretty good. i don't like mama's boys.

What's with the boat hook in the first photo... couldn't you guys hoist Cindy further up the mast than that????

Nice pics other than that... looks like it was a beautiful day... We had a beautiful day here in New England... it almost broke 50 degrees.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I am not sure...but have you given a thought that Cindy might have asked to stop going up??? I deduct that by the way she curled her legs around the mast..clearly indicating not being at ease.

It was a combination of Cindy being the lightest, never gone up before, and me not trusting the lines. The only safety I had was the jib pole line which doesn't go all the way up to the top, so that was out of the question. I decided to keep the two stronger/heavier guys on deck to work the lines. I could just see the headlines in my mind, "woman falls to death, firefighter trained for rescue decides not to use safety line".
