via land. i have tried to contact a few companies, but i never hear back from them??? does anyone know of any good companies that will ship a sailboat via semi-truck?

One thing I'd mention is that most longer truck shipments are billed by the mile and have a loading and unloading fee tacked on. Shorter trips are billed slightly differently from what I've seen, since the loading and unloading take much more of the time respectively.

Last spring I shipped a 44 ft sail boat from Berkeley Ca to Anacortes Wa using Dudley Boat, http://www.dudleyboats.com. I was quite happy with them.

I was a bit nervous at first because it was hard to get them to commit to a particular date. The yards at both ends of the trip wanted precise date but the trucking company wanted to make sure they had full loads going in both directions. In the end, the truck showed up exactly when I wanted them to.

It ended up taking us much longer to load than we had hoped, but the trucker was quite patient and gave us lots of good advice on how to secure the load.

I had some problems because the boat yard at the receiving end wasn't equipped to restep the mast and I just assumed they were. I had to wait weeks for a mobile crane.

BTW, I understand if you have somewhat more flexible pickup and delivery dates, it can cut the costs of a delivery a bit.
