Firing warning shots legal or not?

I can''t find it now, but last summer I saw a Hobie 16 website with a superb solution to the jetski problem. They conducted thorough and very scientific tests, along with a detailed discussion of the problems involved (even weight distribution fore & aft, P & S, having tiller arc clear of ordinance, etc.) using U.S. Army surplus sidewinder missles with the heat-seeking adjusted. Before and after pictures of the Hobie and pwc were included. One single sample shot apparently cleared a large lake (Lanier?) for about a month. Law-enforcement officials called to the scene supposedly commented on the neat installation and fine detailing of the launching racks. (The photos did look impressive.) The debris field looked so much like the trash that generally accompanies powerboaters that the police didn''t notice anything out of the ordinary.
If someone can find the site, it would be worth posting the address.

That was a joke, for crying out loud.

I hate jerk-skis, too, but why don''t you grow up and get a life.

I would like to buy one of these jerk-ski repellant devices for my boat. Does anyone know where they can be purchased?

I got the answer.... why wait till they get on the water to start sinking them...
wait on the dock at the launch ramp and using a silencer on a rifle, hole each jet ski with just a big enough hole to make em swim to shore...

Firing warning shots legal or not?

Is there such a device that would render the sound of a gunshot without the actual gun?

Yes...it''s called a cherry bomb, I don''t know if they are still made by fireworks companies but mounted in a slingshot and then lit, then propelled by slingshot to the offending PWC''s location would work quite well, The fuses stay lit in water and the explosion makes an impressive water column
