One other question kacper. What software did you use to make the video??? I am betting you used iMovie and a Mac... but that's just me...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

THanks guys :)

Hey guys,

Thank you for the comments I followed the advice from the last video and did not put in country music

SD....in answer to your comments

Sorry to burst your bubble, but...Actually, your observations were wrong

1. The topping lift was fully released, that boat actually never had a topping lift and the sailing club just added it this week, so I made sure to let it out. You may have noticed it tightened in the first shot, when we were just raising it and the main'sil was flapping in the wind... I let it out fully shortly after

2. I always put the OB up, it was up the whole time we were using the sails. Some shots we were actually motor sailing hence the motor was in use. We only used it for about 10 minutes because we had a hole in the wind we had to get through.

Lol, and the genoa unfurling before the main was not the actual order, I just flipped the shots in reverse

I am very glad you loved the video anyway

The boat was a Catalina Capri 22'

Yup. iMovie. I love that thing, it's really easy to use.

The soundtrack was

part 1: pirates of the carribean (spelled the c word wrong I bet)

part 2: braveheart sountrack - freedom theme

Ah.. that explains it... how strong was the wind that day??

Yup...sure did. Caribbean... 1 "R" 2 "B's", and dropped the "D" in soundtrack.

Also, did you take a look at the video link I put in my second post? Also done in iMovie on a MacBook Pro. What Mac do you use?

Soul searcher—

Use Camino as a browser. Previously, helping others trouble shoot Mac problems with sailnet has shown that Safari and Firefox (1.x) have problems with Sailnet. I believe that Firefox 2.x is okay as well.

Now back to our regular programming...

We had very changing light winds. When you're crossing the passages and islands here the winds change all the time.

in the end there was a little spot where the wind picked up to 10 knots, it was great because thats when we had to go on a run, so gave us a faster down-wind leg
