I am soooooo pissed right now!

The guy next to me FINALLY gets back to me with an estimate. Actually, he hasn't talked to me at all, he made the yard call me. And its the most frickin' expensive yard in the Bay Area! $1300 bucks to fix this! No way, its way too high. He must be getting it hauled out. If he so much as gets it waxed while its out, hes paying for it. Anyway, I have two other fiberglass guys going to look at it. I need lower estimates, or I will have to get insurance involved.

I need a drink. Where's CD? CD! Pour me a drink, then pour me overboard!

BestFriend-

I hate to say this, but it is probably best to get the insurance companies and lawyers invovled... that is what you pay them for after all.

bestfriend 04-13-2007 10:02 PM

I just sent my insurance guy an email asking him for particulars.
Dammit, where the hell is CD? I need a refill. Get those young legs movin!

BF-

You don't want to drink what ever CD is normally drinking... I mean, seriously, do you want to end up looking like him??

Hope you have had a few drinks already. I just had some work done on my boat in the same area. A stress crack along the same seam. Dig it out, get deep enough to fix, make it look pretty. $1800 and the manufacturer paid for it!

You pay your insurance premium for a reason, let them pay for it. Why not involve them.

I have a feeling CD and I would get along juuuust fine.

Tommy, the one thing with that is that it was my fault. My premiums will go up. If it is under my deductible, there is no reason to involve insurance. Otherwise, yes, I will do it.

Bestfriend,
Has it occurred to you that your neighbor might be with al Qaeida? I've heard this is their newest way of striking back at the West -- by submitting ridiculously high estimates at overpriced boatyards. Why can't they just stick to suicide bombings and driving aircraft into buildings? That's what I want to know.
