I did have an iPod on the list. For books, I carry about 100 different ones in e-book form on my PDA.
BTW, don't generally recommend listening to music on watch, at least not very loudly... I believe that you need to keep all your senses at least somewhat available to your duties... Often, you'll hear a problem before anything else, especially at night.
