Got another boat today....

Ive been looking for a small runabout to use on the weekends to get back and forth to the boat. I got a motor for free from my neighbor, but it was too big for my skiff(Evinrude 35, on a 14' skiff). Today i came across just what ive been looking for, a Starcraft 14' V-bottom boat. Shes in pretty good shape, but needs the floors and transom fixed. It should be in the water this time next week. Going to be a fun summer with this around now, finnaly going to learn to ski and maybe wakeboard.

I grew up on stinkpots. Ive still got the Pearson and other small sailboats. I think im 4-1 on sailboats to powerboats.

I guess we're going to have to shun SVDistantStar... he's gone over to the really dark side..

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Come on, untill i can ski behind the Pearson, this is going to be around. Ive been looking for one of these for at least 5 years, and $100 was the right price.

You wont see me out there like most of the powerboats in the area, no booze onboard at all, just like my Pearson.

The boat in the background is what i grew up going out on. Its a 1973 John Almond 23' with a 200hp Mercury on the back.

Thats my wife, Sabrina setting in our old Samurai. I miss that little truck/suv, thing.

That's a sweet little fishin' machine DS, I sold one just like it a couple years ago. For the price you'd have been a fool not to buy her.
Is that a dog box I see in the back of the Sami? Coon dogs?

Dale

Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

Its not a dog box, theres a small toolbox and a wooden cover made for it. It has brackets to hold a Coleman 48qt cooler.
